Residental Conveyancing

Long experience in handling the sale and purchase all manner of residential properties, from humble apartments to the grand country estates. This includes a great many freehold and leasehold (long and short lease) houses and flats in central London. As a result, we are familiar with the issues and parties that repeatedly arise. These include dealings with London’s private estates (Cadogan, Grosvenor, Howard de Walden, etc), the policies, practices and planning departments of its local authorities, and the many idiosyncrasies peculiar to specific areas of London and their property types.

Carritt & Co are members of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme, which provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices.

Membership achievement establishes a level of credibility for member firms with regulators, lenders, insurers and consumers based upon:

  • the integrity of the Senior Responsible Officer and other key conveyancing staff
  • the firm's adherence to good practice management standards
  • adherence to prudent and efficient conveyancing procedures through the scheme protocol
